The Basic EKG Interpretation course taught by TCMIH is designed to meet the needs of medical professionals who have never taken organized ECG instruction. This course is also designed to prepare participants to successfully interpret ECGs as part of an ACLS program or in clinical practice.

About the course

ECG is basic, simple and noninvasive diagnostic tool useful in both inpatient and outpatient care settings. It is an essential first line investigation in any patient with suspected heart disease. ECG also has useful applications in certain non-cardiac conditions.


It is important to have a sound knowledge and correct interpretation of ECGs to help in diagnosis and management of medical patients. This necessitates that not only specialists, but also other healthcare professionals like General practitioners, Interns,


Post Graduate students, Nurses and Paramedical staff should have basic understanding of ECG for timely diagnosis.
