About the course

ACLS for Providers

ACLS Recertification Courses are for refresher providers only who have been certified and seeking renewal certification. Participants are given the AHA updates then challenged with a written and skills evaluation. Through cooperative learning and in-class team participation in case-based scenarios, learners enhance their skills in the diagnosis and treatment of prearrest, arrest and postarrest patients.

This course teaches:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

If you are not successful in completing this ACLS challenge, then you're required to complete the entire one-day program. Registered participants must complete pre-course self-assessment and bring certificate to class. To receive your certification card you must complete and pass the pre-course self-assessment along with the survey before course date which can be accessed at www.elearning.heart.org.

Once this self-assessment is complete you will have the ability to print out your certificate and email it to twincitycare@gmail.com

Course Completion Card

Please ensure that your BLS skills and knowledge are current for the resuscitation scenarios. You will be tested on adult high-quality current BLS industry standard skills feedback manikins. Upon completion of the course requirements, participants receive an ACLS Provider Course completion Certification Card emailed to them which is valid for two years.
