About the course
Provider course is a 2-day program for first-time or lapsed providers. The course covers emergent pediatric scenarios, you'll gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies including shock, cardio-repiratory failure events & management of pediatric patient while providing students with excellent hands-on opportunities.
Pre-Requisite
You must complete the online Pre-course Self-Assessment before being admitted into the class. It can be taken here: CPR First Aid eLearning (heart.org)
Earn Your PALS Training
- With our options for training – in-person only courses and flexible class setting – Twin City Care makes it easy to choose the right course for your schedule and your learning style. In-Person Classes: Designed for learning best in a traditional classroom setting, class participants attend lecture and skills sessions with other students in our designated physical location. This is a 1-day program. Designed for current (PALS) providers. It is targeted towards experienced providers and designed to be fast paced. The renewal course will provide the same emergent pediatric scenarios as a 2-day course.
(Must have a current PALS card) Textbooks are included in the cost of this course. They should be picked-up from Twin City Care upon payment at least two weeks in advance of attending the class.
**Special note: The American Safety & Health Institute and American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS have developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent sponsorship by either association, and any fees charged for such course(s) does not represent income to them.
