About the course

The Airway management Course is developed as a tool in assisting Healthcare professionals with the responsibilities of carrying out and/or assisting with advance airway management in emergency situations. This course wil help emergency nurses, advance EMT's, Doctor's and respiratory technicians to anticipate and be prepared for difficult and adverse events, to assess the possibilities and be more familiar with less commonly used techniques that may be appropriate for such events. Timely, effective and decisive management of the airway can literally make the difference between life and death or between ability and disability. Course can be conducted with live and dead tissue labs.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

  1. Develop appropriate airway management strategies based on detailed physical examination, airway evaluation, and preoperative nasal airway examination.
  2. Recognize signs of difficult airway and devise appropriate airway management strategy in the unanticipated difficult airway.
  3. Describe the techniques to adequately topicalize the airway and perform safe awake tracheal intubation in patients with difficult airway.
  4. Develop appropriate plans to manage patients with anticipated difficult extubation.
